The troublesome original release, named for the problematic first brew day which hugely emphasised its hop bitterness. It's matured and evolved nicely over the years. Big tropical hop flavour from local varieties with strong bitterness from an English hop to honour its origins, all balanced by plenty of malt.

Limited Release 38 is a Hazy IPA brewed with real passionfruit and hopped with tropical hop varieties Strata and Nelson Sauvin, showcasing juicy passionfruit, tropical and slight dank characters on a pale and hazy base beer, with a cleansing passionfruit acidity to finish.

Limited Release 39 is a Double IPA brewed with a crisp, lean, pale malt base and loaded to the seams with intense US and NZ hop varieties - providing punchy citrus, tropical, white grape and blueberry characters, along with a firm bitterness.

Limited Release 40 is a Fresh Hop Pilsner brewed with whole cone Riwaka hops grown by NZ Hops, flown across the Cook Strait and into the brewhouse with minimal delay to capture peak freshness. Bright and expressive, it delivers juicy citrus and tropical fruit over clean pilsner malt, with resinous hop oils and a crisp, snappy bitterness.

Bright citrus and berry hop character rides over a rich red malt base, with notes of toffee, resinous hop oils and a firm bitterness.

The raptor family includes a surprisingly diverse collection of birds of prey and their kin, and stretches to include some of their fiercer ancestors from the land before time. Pale Ale can feel like a similarly broad category, but this one is very much of the more assertive kind. Deep gold with piercing piney bitterness and citrus hop flavours, it's a throwback to the relatively recent past. A Bright deep gold beer with Orange, grapefruit & pine aroma.
