An ongoing series of occasional one off releases inspired by the nice ideas captured in Parrotdog's Lyall Bay Brewery. Limited Release 40 is a Fresh Hop Pilsner brewed with whole cone Riwaka hops grown by NZ Hops, flown across the Cook Strait and into the brewhouse with minimal delay to capture peak freshness. Bright and expressive, it delivers juicy citrus and tropical fruit over clean pilsner malt, with resinous hop oils and a crisp, snappy bitterness.

Limited Release 38 is a Hazy IPA brewed with real passionfruit and hopped with tropical hop varieties Strata and Nelson Sauvin, showcasing juicy passionfruit, tropical and slight dank characters on a pale and hazy base beer, with a cleansing passionfruit acidity to finish.

Tutaki Haze, luscious hazy IPA, brewed with juicy New Zealand grown malted barley, wheat and oats and hops grown on the Nelson Lakes farm at the meeting point of the Matakitaki and Tutaki rivers. It's Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Riwaka like never before, loaded with ripe tropical mango, passionfruit and lifted lime citrus. Discover a new world of flavour.

East Coast anthem IPA - a big ol' hop poppa of a beer, packing in intense mango, tropical fruit hit from US big guns, Simcoe and Mosaic. It's just bigger and juicier than it's bitter West Coast counterpart, like sippin' hazy hop nectar from a can. It's all good.

A New Zealand interpretation, Cassels Double Cream Milk Stout is intensely rich, strong and malty with a creamy, almost velvet texture. A full bodied stout with dark mocha and chocolate aromatics. This Double Cream Milk Stout contains a non-fermentable lactose sugar derived from 100% pure New Zealand milk.

Bright and refreshing; smooth mouthfeel from the wheat malt base; some bread character with uplifting zesty citrus aromas from the addition of Yuzu and Orange Zest. Perfect for a hot summers day.

Over at Bach they've been on the hops... and dusted off an old recipe for their trophy winning Limburg Czechmate to brew a classic Bohemian style Pilsner. Bohemian Pils malts and Czech Saaz hops combine for a smooth soft maltiness, firm hop bitterness, spicy and floral, with a crisp refreshing finish; One's not enough.

Fire Horse is this year's annual fresh hop release from Epic. Using fresh Riwaka hops from Eggers Hop Farm in upper Moutere, the hops are picked at peak condition and flown same day from farm to brewery, then brewed the same day while their oils and aromatics are at full intensity. This narrow harvest window is the only time a beer like this can be made during the year - capturing freshness, energy, bold juice and aroma that simply doesn't exist outside the season.
