This 12YO Aberlour has been matured in two cask types, traditional oak and Sherry oak casks. Especially selected every year, they are filled with whisky and quietly aged for a minimum of twelve years; then the casks are married together. Traditional oak casks encourage the subtle character of Aberlour to develop, whilst Sherry oak casks add hints of ruby gold colour and a deep and rich flavour to the whisky. A perfectly balanced single malt, rich and citrusy with notes of red apple and cinnamon.

A great beginner's whisky right here from the Glen Grant Distillery, produced in tall pot stills. This 10 year old Speyside single malt, having spent a decade in bourbon casks, boasts oodles of light, malty notes. A top dram for warmer weather.

First matured in traditional American oak casks until it has achieved the perfect balance of flavours, the whisky is then transferred into first used sherry casks to allow the secondary maturation, which adds to its complex character and refined depth of flavour.
